Configuring Firefox for Mac
Print this page and follow the instructions below to configure your browser.
- Under the View menu, check to be sure there is a check beside Status bar; if not select Status Bar.
- Under the Firefox menu select Preferences...
- Click the Content icon at the top.
- Click to check the box beside Block pop-up windows.
- Click the Exceptions... button beside Block pop-up windows.
- Click the Remove All Sites button.
- Type blackboard.com in the text box below Address of web site.
- Click the Allow button.
- Type utsystem.edu in the text box below Address of web site.
- Click the Allow button.
- Click the X on the top left corner to close the Allowed Sites - Pop-ups window.
- Click to check the boxes beside Load images automatically, Enable JavaScript, and Enable Java.
- Click the Advanced... button beside Enable JavaScript.
- Check to be sure the box beside Hide the status bar is NOT selected.
- Click to check the box beside Change status bar text.
- Click the OK button.
- Click the Privacy icon at the top.
- Click the Show Cookies... button.
- Click the Remove All Cookies button.
- Click the X in the top left corner to close the Cookies window.
- If the check box beside Accept cookies from sites is checked, select they expire from the Keep until: menu.
- Click the Exceptions... button.
- Click the Remove All Sites button.
- Type blackboard.com in the text box below Address of web site.
- Click the Allow button.
- Type utsystem.edu in the text box below Address of web site.
- Click the Allow button.
- Click the X on the top left corner to close the Exceptions - Cookies window.
- Click the Clear Now... button.
- Click to check the box beside Cache.
- Click the Clear Private Data Now button.
- Click the Advanced icon at the top.
- Click the Network tab.
- Click the Clear Now button.
- Click the X on the top left corner to close the Preferences window.
- Click the Content icon at the top.
- Close the browser and Restart your computer.
