Configuring Safari 2.0 for Mac

Under the Safari menu select Preferences...

  • Click the General icon at the top
    • Click to check the box beside Open "safe" files after downloading
  • Click the Security icon at the top
    • In the Web Content section, click to check the boxes beside Enable
      plug-ins
      , Enable Java, and Enable JavaScript
    • In the Accept Cookies section, click the radio button beside Only from sites you navigate to
    • Click the Show Cookies button
      • Click the Remove All button
      • Click the Remove All button in the warning box
      • Click the Done button
  • Click the X on the top left corner to close the Preferences window

Under the Safari menu select Empty Cache... and click the Empty button in the warning box

Under the View menu select Show Status Bar



Configuring QuickTime for Mac

Under the Apple menu select System Preferences...

In the Internet & Network section click the QuickTime icon

  • Click the Streaming tab
    • Click to select your connection speed from the pull-down menu beside Streaming Speed: (if you are using a high-speed connection select 256 Kbps DSL/Cable; if you are using a dial-up connection select 56 Kbps Modem/ISDN)
  • Click on the Advanced tab
    • Click to select Custom... from the pull-down menu beside Transport Setup:
    • In the pop-up window
      • Click to select HTTP from the pull-down menu beside Transport Protocol:
      • Click to select the radio button beside 80 beside Port ID:
      • Click the OK button in the pop-up window
  • Click the X on the top left corner to close the QuickTime window

Quit the browser and Restart your computer
