Configuring Netscape 8.0 for PC
Under the Tools menu select Options...
- Click the Privacy icon on the left
- In the Cookies section
- Click the Clear button on the right
- Click the OK button in the Confirm Clear Histories warning box
- Click the + symbol beside Cookies to display further options
- Select until they expire from the Keep Cookies: pull-down menu
- In the Cache section
- Click the Clear button on the right
- Click the OK button in the Confirm Clear Histories warning box
- In the Cookies section
- Click the Site Controls icon on the left
- Click the Site List tab
- Click to select I Trust This Site in the Master Settings window
- Click the radio button beside Firefox in the Rendering Engine section
- Click to check the boxes beside Open requested pop-ups in new tab, Allow images to be displayed, Allow Cookies, Enable JavaScript, and Enable Java, in the Web Features section
- Click the Trust Preferences tab
- Click to check the box beside Play a Sound when a Pop-up is Blocked in the Global Site Options section
- Click the Site List tab
- Click the OK button in the Options window
- Type http://uttc.blackboard.com in the browser's address bar and press Enter
- Click the green check mark in the tab beside Blackboard Academic Suite to open the Site Controls for uttc.blackboard.com
- Click the Trust Settings tab
- Click the radio button beside I Trust This Site in the Browser Setting section
- Click the radio button beside Firefox in the Rendering Engine section
- Click the Advanced tab
- Click the radio button beside Firefox in the Rendering Engine section
- Click to check the boxes beside Open requested pop-ups in new tab, Allow images to be displayed, Allow Cookies, Enable JavaScript, and Enable Java, in the Web Features section
- Click the Done button in the Site Controls for uttc.blackboard.com window
Configuring QuickTime for PC
From the Start menu select Control Panel
Double click the QuickTime icon to launch QuickTime
- Click the Streaming tab
- In the Streaming Speed section click to select your connection speed from the pull-down menu (if you are using a high-speed connection select 256 Kbps DSL/Cable; if you are using a dial-up connection select 56 Kbps Modem/ISDN)
- Click on the Advanced tab
- In the Streaming section
- Click to select Custom... from the pull-down menu beside Transport Setup:
- In the Streaming Transport window
- Click to select HTTP from the pull-down menu beside Transport Protocol:
- Click to select 80 from the pull-down menu beside Port ID:
- Click the OK button in the Streaming Transport window
- In the Streaming section
- Click the OK button in the QuickTime Preferences window
Exit the browser and Restart your computer
