Library Resources | Ask a UT System Librarian | RefWorks | Host Campus Resources

Mission

The UT TeleCampus Digital Library supports the research and library needs of UTTC students and faculty by providing and coordinating a variety of library resources and services, including remote access to electronic resources, borrowing privileges at numerous academic and public libraries, reference and technical assistance.

Access Policy

Due to licensing restrictions, access to most of the electronic resources available through the UT TeleCampus Digital Library is limited to students, staff, and faculty at the University of Texas TeleCampus. No initial login is necessary to enter the site and begin searching for items. However, when you attempt to link to one of the restricted resources, you will be prompted to enter your UTTC username and password (for students, this is the same username and password you use to access your courses and the TeleCampus Information System). Students' access privileges begin on the first class day for the semester.

Usage Restrictions

Downloading of entire journal issues or complete journal volumes in a systematic fashion is strictly prohibited. Furthermore, attempts to download the entire database are also prohibited by the license agreement between the publishers of these resources and the University of Texas TeleCampus. It is prohibited to make print or electronic copies for redistribution to non-subscribers or non-subscribing institutions. Web activity may be monitored by individual publishers and violation of the licensing agreement could result in cancellation of the service.

Getting Started

If you are a UTTC student currently enrolled in an academic course, you may use any UTTC resources found in this site. If you are enrolled in a non-credit course, please visit PDO - Professional Development Online for details about your course permissions. If you are unfamiliar with the UTTC Library's resources, we recommend that you review the information available in UTTC Knowledge Center (enter the search term "library") and the Learning Resources organization (look in the Research and Writing section for Online Library Orientation), and review the TILT tutorial. Otherwise, follow any of the links to UTTC resources, and when prompted, enter your UTTC username & password.
