Adult Higher Education Alliance (AHEA)
The primary mission of the Alliance is to serve professionals and institutions offering alternative undergraduate and graduate degree programs for adults by fostering the exchange of ideas, supporting the professional development of members, and serving as an advocate for adult students and alternative degree programs for adults. http://www.ahea.org/

Association for Media and Technology in Education in Canada (AMTEC) The purposes of the AMTEC Foundation, are based upon the conviction that the improvement of instruction in schools, post-secondary institutions and business and industry can be accomplished, at least in part, by the continued investigation and application of new systems for learning and by the periodic assessment of current techniques for the communication of information. Distance Education and Training Council (DETC)
The Distance Education and Training Council (formerly the National Home Study Council) is a non profit educational association located in Washington, D.C. DETC serves as a clearinghouse of information about the distance study/correspondence field and sponsors a nationally recognized accrediting agency called the Accrediting Commission of the Distance Education and Training Council. http://www.detc.org/

International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE)

ISTE is a nonprofit professional organization with a worldwide membership of leaders and potential leaders in educational technology. We are dedicated to promoting appropriate uses of information technology to support and improve learning, teaching, and administration in K12 education and teacher education. TxDLA is the leading Texas membership association for distance learning professionals. University Council for Educational Administration (UCEA)
The University Council for Educational Administration is a consortium of 60 major research universities in the United States and Canada. The dual mission of UCEA is to improve the preparation of educational leaders and promote the development of professional knowledge in school improvement and administration. The association's purpose is to promote the development and application of distance learning for education and training.
