Chess in Education Certificate Courses

Chess I is designed for teachers, parents, or chess coaches who wish to use chess examples to help students understand concepts in reading, math, and problem solving.
Chess II is designed in consideration of the cultural role of chess as a combination of game, art, sport, and science using the interdisciplinary methods of the arts and humanities. This course will also explore practical resources available from local and national chess organizations, foundations, and associations for teachers introducing chess into their classrooms.
