Course Description
This course is intended for students enrolled in the University of Texas TeleCampus online Master of Business Administration program. With the rapid globalization of the economy, corporate decisions will be greatly influenced by variables such as exchange rate policies, trade policies, etc. The objective of this course is to help students understand the international financial environment and how managers function in this increasingly uncertain environment. After studying the course, students will be able to understand the international financial environment and key economic theories that underlie the foundation of foreign exchange risk management, and demonstrate knowledge of foreign exchange terminology and the various forms of financial instruments available for foreign exchange risk management. Ultimately, students should be able to use basic strategies and techniques to manage foreign exchange risk.
