Course Description
An analysis of formal organizations and the interrelationship of individuals in organizations. A study of the organization as a system of authority, status, leadership, direction, culture, ethics, communication and influence.
This course is designed to provide a broad overview of management and international management theories, practices, and research. Special attention will be given to critical thinking skills and the students ability to communicate and lead effectively in the discussion chat room format.
This course is designed to give you exposure to management theories and practices needed to function effectively in a changing business environment. Specific objectives are:
- To provide an understanding of essential business skills in the functional business areas of management and international management;
- To provide an applications-oriented approach to analyzing daily problems faced in the work environment;
- To provide an opportunity to develop the skills necessary for leadership positions in business; and
- To raise awareness of contemporary management issues facing business executives.
