Course Description

Research related to philosophies, objectives, and practices in early childhood education, including analysis through comparison and contrast of preschool programs, plus implications for designing such programs based on research and evaluation. We will do active research in the six focus areas of the Texas Teacher Certification Competencies. The six overview areas of Early Childhood Education through grade four include:

  • Pedagogy and Professional Responsibility
  • Literacy
  • Mathematics
  • Social Science
  • Science
  • Fine Arts and Health
