Course Description

Development of competencies necessary to deal effectively with Issues and Current Topics in Early Childhood Education, Pre-school to grade Four.

Course topics reside in the areas of: Nutrition and Environment, Families and Diversity, Morality and Classroom Environment, Urban Education, Life Changes, and Global Education. Students will be able to discuss and develop different paradigms concerning current topics within the area of early childhood education as well as identify and describe major problems and challenges and design and generate solutions to these problems.
