Course Description
This course is about the basic medical science concerned with diseases. The primary goal of this course is to teach the basic concepts underlying various pathological processes. The student will study the pathogenesis of diseases, learn their mechanisms, and understand how they develop. The etiology of pathologic changes and causes of many diseases will be covered. Pathophysiology is the basis of all medical practice. This course uses an excellent textbook and many external links to supplement the reading assignments and online lessons. The instructor firmly believes that students can have fun while learning, so even though the subject matter is serious it is presented in a very student friendly manner. This is a great refresher course for any health care professional.
