Course Title: Problems in Education: International Technology Issues
Campus Course Code: EDCI 6336
Campus: UT Brownsville
Program: MED-Educational Technology
Course Description
This course conducts a survey of current trends and issues of importance to the field of instructional technology. The focus of this semester's exploration examines issues related to the understanding of diversity in global business and how they affect the global impact of technology in education and training. Specially, this summer class examines two bodies of content related to culture, one that is generic and the second specializing in East Asia as a regional case study. Why East Asia? This part of the world contains more of our population than any other! It is the focal point of massive changes, economic, cultural, pedagogical, and societal. These changes impact what, why, when, where and how the rest of the world's population conducts their own affairs, sometimes in an overt way, at other times less visibly.
