Course Description
The purpose of this course is to examine the “political” side of public administration and its role in the policy process. The public bureaucracy is frequently called “the fourth branch of government” because of the influence it wields on public policy. In this course, we will examine the various facets of the bureaucracy and how they provide the bureaucracy with a basis of political power.
