Course Title: Fundamentals of Algebra

Course Description

Students will study math concepts and operations needed as preparation for college algebra. Topics include basic algebraic operations, linear equations and inequalities, polynomials, rational expressions, factoring, exponents, radicals and quadratic equations. At the end of each section of study, students will take a lesson test. There will be 9 lesson tests, as well as three exams and a final exam. The lesson test average will count 25% of the grade, the exams will count 50% and the final exam will count 25%. A proctored final exam will be given on the first Saturday in December. The Math Department office at UTA will give the time and location for the exam. For students not in the UTA area, arrangements must be made with a local educational institution for administering the final exam.

You will earn an F in this course if you do not complete all courses activities, do not participate, AND/OR do not complete assigned work.
