Course Description
Selection, evaluation, and use of current literature published for children and young adults. Emphasis on extensive reading, research, and response. The purpose of this course is to explore the most recent literature published for children. The emphasis will be on reading and responding to children's books from a variety of genres, as well as on developing a knowledge base regarding current research and teaching in the field of children's literature.
